The Construct Roof Structure course introduces learners to the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to safely and effectively construct different types of roof structures in building construction. The course covers interpretation of roof drawings, identification of roofing materials, preparation of timber, fabrication of trusses, fixing of rafters and purlins, and installation of roofing coverings and drainage systems. Learners are trained on the use of relevant tools and equipment, proper working techniques, and adherence to building standards and safety procedures.

The course emphasizes practical, hands-on training, enabling learners to measure, cut, join, and assemble roof elements, erect roof frameworks, apply waterproofing solutions, and complete roof finishes such as fascia boards, soffits, and gutters.
